Biketoberfest Started Thursday in Daytona

Biketoberfest here in Daytona Beach north of the Space Coast has started today October 15th till this Sunday October 18th, 2009. Florida Space Coast Today just returned from main street to make a post.

Remember not to confuse this Bike event with the 10 day Bike Week event end of Feb into the first of March, which is the Big one! More locals attend the one in October, so it is not as crowded…making it a great time for first timers to attend.

There are so many spectators that show up to see what the fuse is about, yet here are some guidelines to take as suggestions:

Please play the part men, wear jeans, black shirt, boots, sunglasses.

Ladies feel free to dress as sexy as possible showing off your best assets with hosiery and heels or heeled boots. we found a site with some pictures from past events as examples called, best pantyhose review.

Please leave your children at home, this is an adult event and not much to entertain the little one.

Sorry no flashing on the streets of your boobies, police will award you with a ticket over $100, unless you tape or glue stickers over your nipples to conceal them (latex paint works legally also).

Bring cash, ATM’s charge up to $5 per transaction and beers run $4 with a $1 tip making it $5 per beer.

Froggy’s Saloon best place to drink in the garden area and look for the best bartender nicknamed Sweet, although Dirty Harry’s has the best entertainment in the evening.

Police are pulling bikes over if lights are not working or tags expired.

Last minute you can still find a hotel to stay at, especially with the economy as bad as it is. Just take the time to put in the proper information into Hotwire and check out the results.

If you plan to drink, as many do, take a taxi down to main street if you are not within walking distance. If you decide to drive, then drink early but begin drinking diet coke three hours before leaving as to sober up, the police will pull you over! DWI’s will put you in jail and after all the legal cost is considered, you are looking at $10,000…not worth it.
